Cape Tribulation Day Tour - Rainforest Tour
A great day to explore the Daintree Rainforest. The highlights for your day include Daintree River Cruise, Alexandra Lookout, Cape Tribulation and the Daintree Discovery Centre. Travel in air-conditioned comfort in a luxury purpose built 4WD through some of the oldest rainforest in the world. During the 1 hour Daintree river cruise you will reach the habitat of wildlife, birds, tree snakes, unique mangrove systems and of course the estuarine crocodile. The Daintree Discovery Centre includes an Aerial Walkway and unique Rainforest Tower, and the guided canopy walk gives you the magnificent views of the rainforest from all angles. Kuranda Scenic Railway & Skyrail Tour
Australia’s Tropical Rainforests are recognised as one of the most ecologically fascinating natural areas in the world. You can tailor your Kuranda day by starting with either the Train or Skyrail. You will be picked up from your Port Douglas or Cairns accommodation on an air-conditioned bus. It is a beautiful scenic drive to the Skyrail Terminal or the railway station from Port Douglas. The train journey takes about one and a half hours including one stop at the Barron Falls Station. Two and a half hours free time is perfect to spend in Kuranda, and will allow you to visit two markets and few wildlife sanctuaries such as the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary, the Bird World and Koala Gardens. The Skyrail takes almost an hour which has two stops on the way that allow you to get off the gondola, join an interpretive boardwalk tour at Red Peak Station at no extra cost and discover the Barron Falls Station to enjoy the most visited site in Australian’s World Heritage rainforest.
